Our Mission
We are a ministry, not an agency, focused on leading people to a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. We uphold the dignity of all who come to us, offering compassionate and immediate assistance for physical crises. We also minister to the whole person by providing spiritual care and prayer alongside food and clothing support.
Our History
On November 1, 1982, with one bag of food, one bag of clothing, and a heart to help others, Diane and Nan started their ministry in a single-car garage. As the need grew, they knew God had placed a calling on their lives. From those humble beginnings, Nourishment for the Needy was born. More than 40 years later, we continue to serve our community from a dedicated facility, carrying on God's work of compassion and care.
People and Purpose
We are a faith-based food pantry serving Montgomery County families with food and clothing. We encourage those we serve to attend church, because we believe a supportive faith community and the Word of God can help sustain them during difficult times, connect them to their community, and guide them toward their purpose.
