About Us
Our Mission
We are a ministry, not an agency. As such, our main objective is to bring people to know the Lord Jesus Christ. We also place a high priority on respecting the dignity of all those who ask for our help.
We are compassionate toward the needs of those struggling and committed to immediately assisting with the immediate crisis – whether it be physical or spiritual need. We are here to help the whole person; therefore, we are available to pray for those who need spiritual help in addition to meeting the need for food and clothing.
Our History
It all started on November 1, 1982, in a single car garage with one bag of food, a bag of clothes and a desire to help those in need. Quickly Diane and Nan saw the need was so great, they knew they had met their calling and Nourishment for the Needy was born. With 40+ years of helping the needy now located in a workspace facility, they continue God's calling!
People & Purpose
We are a faith-based food pantry serving families in need in Montgomery County with food and clothing. We encourage those we serve to attend church, as we recognize that people need a support group and the Word of God, to sustain them through difficult times. We believe it also serves to connect them to their community and a place to find their purpose.
